Divine Mercy Community

a not-for-profit organization established for religious, instructional (education in the faith) and charitable purposes or works of mercy inspired by the message received by St. Faustina Kowalska from Jesus.

In essence or in spirit, and at the core, we are a community, a spiritual family: “We are a group of Christians who, inspired by the promises of Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska, accept the call to spread the message of divine mercy and to become instruments of God’s peace for the individual, the family and the community” (Vision of DMC).

When Jesus appeared to Sr. Faustina he gave this instruction: "Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus I trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and throughout the world" (Diary 47).

The Divine Mercy Community (DMC) is engaged in bringing the Good News of Divine Mercy to the families. We bring the Image to the homes of devotees who would like to welcome Jesus and give him the "throne" of the house (the altar and the heart of each member of the family), the basic meaning of enthronement.

The enthronement is a family prayer for eight days. A group of DMC members bring the pilgrim Image to the home to pray with the family the first day and to do the enthronement of the Image.

From the second day onwards the family continues and completes the prayers.

Since it is a Prayer of the Family, the members take active role: they do the readings, lead the Chaplet and the Rosary, share experiences of living the faith, offer prayers for themselves, relatives and friends.

The family receives the Image (a copy of the Pilgrim Image) as a gift of the DMC to the new members of the Spiritual Family. We record the names of parents and children, and take pictures for the DMC Membership Directory and publications of the DMC (chronicle and booklet, souvenir program, newsletter, etc.). After prayers fellowship completes the visit of the Pilgrim Image. A prayer for God's blessings ends the enthronement process.
